About Me
My background
With 40 years of experience in coaching hockey and skills training, I have developed a unique ability to specialize in correcting skating stride and hockey skills deficiencies. I effectively break down hockey skills and rebuild them correctly from the foundational level. My training and experience from Hockey Canada and the Greater Toronto Hockey League have enabled me to assist thousands of students in elevating their game. Additionally, I have supported hundreds of coaches through skills training as a course instructor for the National Coaches Certification program, teaching them the most current and effective methods for training their athletes and staff. In 2025, I became a certified Train 2.0 Downhill Skating Instructor. Hockey serves as a valuable vehicle for learning life skills, teaching motivation, and the ability to develop skills necessary to achieve any goal in life.
My Support Team
My support team includes the Oakville Hockey Academy, a state-of-the-art training facility in Oakville, Ontario, where I specialize in coaching hockey for athletes aged 4-20 years old. As a lead instructor working alongside owner Jake DeJulio, I design and teach lessons focused on developing hockey skills for the Rising Stars Development League. Additionally, I offer private and semi-private skills training on the ice for athletes at all levels, from beginners to adults. My support team also includes you! My Winning Philosophy
I believe effective training for coaching hockey requires three important ingredients: the RIGHT teacher at the RIGHT times with the RIGHT attitude.
